Sorgax Army Starter

I bought these quite some time ago and put off putting paint on them because I was a little intimidated by the scale. Wow, I wish I had gotten started sooner. The minis are extremely easy to get a good result on with very basic techniques, and the designs are super forgiving. Once you get a number of them done they look really really impressive as a group. I've been powering through my Argatoria models because they're such a joy to work on. The starter box is additionally a genuinely good way to start learning the game. You get a decent variety of units and enough models to play a game that feels very complete. In this case, you get some core infantry, some supporting light infantry, a fairly hard hitting unit and a unit of light cavalry. With the characters included it is a very approachable entry point and all of the units are units you'd want to use as you expand. I've been playing some games with my oldest and although I've painted more than the starter box now there's still plenty of good fun gaming to be had with the contents of two starters.

Received this set recently and got blown away by the detail on these minis! Hoping to be able to do them justice painting them

This was my first Argatoria product to arrive so it gets a special place in my heart. The detail present at this scale is incredible, far more than what I'd expect. The models were all mostly free of mold lines, except some gates on the Slagors that needs some work to clean up. But a quick wash with warm water and maybe shaving down the bases to a preferred height and that's all you need to get them assemble. They all look great and properly thinned paint brings out a ton of detail, making ti easier to get the contrast you want to make them pop at tabletop distance. The command models are a particular joy with the unique banners and hero poses. While Sorgax were intended to just be part of my demo set, I may end up expanding on them after seeing how great they are in person.
